Vita Godts
(NL) Vita Godts (die/hun) aka Leefschreef is een vijfentwintigjarige ziel die zichzelf, de wereld en al het gene dat zich op aard afspeelt, ervaart in superlatief. Vita is zowel hulpverlener als hulpvrager.
Via hun poëzie tracht Vita te bespreken wat in een prestatiegerichte maatschappij met een voorliefde voor individualisme en idealisme, liever niet besproken wordt.
Vita tracht met hun werk de stigma’s en taboes rond psychische gezondheid te doorbreken, probeert woorden te bieden aan zij die er niet in slagen om hun gevoelens onder woorden te brengen en anderen met zichzelf en elkaar te verbinden via kwetsbaarheid.
Vita hoopt met hun openheid medemensen stuk voor stuk te laten zien en voelen dat uit de boot vallen niet gelijk staat aan verdrinken, dat jezelf bekijken niet gelijk staat aan bekeken worden, dat delen niet gelijk staat aan verliezen, dat pijn een universeel gegeven is en dat sterkte niet bestaan kan zonder kwetsbaarheid.
(EN) Vita Godts (they/them) aka Leefschreef is a twenty-five-year-old soul who experiences themself, the world, and all that is happening on earth in the superlative. Vita is both a care-giver and a care-seeker.
Through their poetry Vita tries to discuss what is preferably not discussed in a performance-based society with a penchant for individualism and idealism.
Vita seeks to break the stigmas and taboos surrounding mental health, to offer words to those who cannot put their feelings into words, and to connect others to themselves and each other through vulnerability.
Vita hopes that through their openness, each of their fellow human beings can see and feel that falling out of the boat is not the same as drowning, that looking at yourself is not the same as being looked at, that sharing is not the same as losing, that pain is universal and that strength cannot exist without vulnerability.
