Workshops | 13:00–14:50

  • Join PCP in a reflective conversation about the interdependence of queer liberation and Palestinian liberation. In this workshop, we will discuss the everyday experiences of queer Palestinians fighting the collective struggle against imperialism, colonialism, and capitalism. We will discuss our collective role in dismantling tools of oppression - from homonationalism and rainbow capitalism to pinkwashing and all forms of racism. Our collective discussion will also highlight the importance of rejecting western blueprints of queerness and building active solidarities at the intersections. The workshop will be held in English but translation to Arabic/Dutch/French can be provided. This workshop will be a brave space to share, reflect, and question. Bring your comrade and see you there!

  • Brought to you by Milka Kongi Mbung, "Atelier de la Révolution" is a worshop centered around Milka’s project “Kinshasa Révolution”. The project aims to break the silence surrounding the ongoing genocide in Congo.

During this workshop you are invited to read about the revolution, dicuss , learn its symbols, sounds and movements in an intercative way.

Dresscode: anything in the color BLUE, as a symbol of identity reappropriation. Find out more during the workshop!

  • Since its beginning, Pride has been a political event, and protest has always been embedded in its very reason for existing. It started with a few queers back then, and it continues with thousands of us today.

For the third edition of Back to the Roots, @_qommunity_ and @STICKY_food invite you into a temporary community to celebrate queer history and its legacy. As we will be sharing food together, we will be bringing the spotlight to the queer voices and stories that have been shaping our community since the time exists. The stories of how we came together to resist, to fight back, and to grieve, and the stories of our acumen in uplifting, loving, and supporting one another.

On the 18th of May, take a seat with us around the Supra to share the stories that have shaped our identities. As we will break bread together, each of us will have the opportunity to raise a toast to cement the queer love and history that binds us all together. By creating this alternative form of intimacy, let’s start Pride day with a tradition of care and tenderness within our community.

    Rendez-vous at 13:00:

    - Collaborative tablecloth

    - Sharing stories and toasting

    - Breaking bread (plant-based food)

To co-create the tablecloth together, please bring a story, image, quote, or anything meaningful to you about a queer icon(s) you would like to remember on that day. These could be someone you know personally, or a writer, activist, collective, or any source that has shaped your queer identity. With the materials you bring, we will decorate the tablecloth for our feast. If you prefer us to take care of printing, please send us the content by Thursday the 16th to info@droa.community. We will have markers, paper glue, scissors, and tape available on the spot.

    * a long, lively affair of friends and family gathered over food.
